Great episode.
I think I'm finally starting to get what the singing's all about ... I can finally dig it (sort of).

This is a fantastic episode.

Before looking at the details, I want to make sure that you knew about the recent book Laurel Canyon:
http://www.laurelcanyonthebook.com/

Not just because it has great cover art, but because it is the second best LA History Book I have read (Davis' City of Quartz is still the best). Amazing stuff on the Byrds / Zappa 60's, Eagles 70's, etc.

This show proves once and for all that if you write what you know, it works. Your descriptions of driving the valley, the social and physical landmarks, the weird improbable facts (who knew Dweezil could hit); but, more importantly that strange over powering desire to fit in, to find a ritual for manhood, to make meaningful memories.

This is likely my favorite piece of yours.

I loved the movie theater line. I loved the descriptions of the Punk kids (and the fear the mere mention of their name could create). This entire episode is awesome.

Thank you.

You've got to be kidding me, all of those stars lived in the same place? They should close it down and make it a museum.

Sildenafil has been shown to be useful for the prevention and treatment of High-altitude pulmonary edema associated with altitude sickness such as that suffered by mountain climbers.[21][22] While this effect has only recently been discovered, sildenafil is already becoming an accepted treatment for this condition, in particular in situations where the standard treatment of rapid descent has been delayed for some reason.

I know this is an older episode but I love it. It takes me back to my youth. I wish I was a good story teller because I have some great stories to tell. Involving all these locations and some of these people.
